What is HUM 2?
HUM 2 is a three-voice multitimbral synth you play with your hands, your body and the room around you. Each voice has its own sound engine, sequencer and touch pads, and six built-in sensors let you shape the sound by waving a hand over it, tilting it or dimming the lights. Set it going and it keeps inventing, or lock a phrase you like and build on it.

- Three generative sequencers of up to 64 steps that can invent new phrases or lock into a loop
- 17 scales, including microtonal, overtone series and just intonation

HUM 2 or Crum Hum?
If you already know Nyström's Crum Hum, HUM 2 is its deeper sibling: more engines, lockable sequencers, sensors and full studio connectivity. Crum Hum stays the more immediate, hands-on instrument. We have put them side by side in Crum Hum vs HUM 2. They also play well together, since HUM 2's sync output can clock the Crum Hum.
How the pre-order works
You order HUM 2 like any other product, and your unit is reserved from the first batch. We ship it as soon as it arrives in our warehouse in Sweden, expected in November 2026, and we will email you as soon as we know the exact date. You can cancel at any time before it ships, and after delivery you have our usual 30 days of free returns.
